Carsonia Park

Description/History

The Association held two reunions (1915, 1921) at Carsonia Park east of Reading, PA. The park was constructed by the United Traction Company in 1896 as a destination for its trolley service, similar to many other reunion locations in the early 20th century. The park had two roller coasters and a handful of other rides during its history. Trolley service stopped going to the park in 1939, and the park saw decreased attendance until it closed in 1950. Much of the information we have is from historical postcards that have been collected and research by the Berks History Center (see link below)
