Maple Grove

Lancaster, PA (Lancaster county)

Description/History

The 1930 reunion was held at Maple Grove Park in Lancaster, PA. At one time the park had a pool as noted by the postcard which was considered the largest in the state along with a roller coaster known as the Sky Rocket. After closing in the 1960s is was taken over by the city and according to the parks and recreations site it is a passive park with open space for picnics, jogging, and playing your favorite sport along the Little Conestoga Creek. There is also a hiking trail. If you visit and know where to look you can find the concrete buttresses that were the base for the roller coaster.
